15 days in Morocco from Casablanca

Embark on an exhilarating 15-day journey through the enchanting landscapes, vibrant cities, and rich cultural heritage of Morocco, starting from the bustling metropolis of Casablanca. From ancient medinas to sweeping desert dunes, each day of this itinerary promises thrilling adventures and unforgettable experiences. Let’s dive into the details of your epic Moroccan adventure!

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat

15 days in Morocco, We will pick you up and drive to Casablanca where you will visit the Hassan II Mosque, the largest outside of Mecca, and experience the coast of Cornwall. Then we will leave for Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Here, you will see the Hassan Tower, the Kasbah Oudaya before checking the Riad in the heart of the Medina. Overnight in our Hotel / Riad.

Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes

After breakfast at the Riad, you will begin to travel to Meknes, another important imperial city of Morocco, known as the Ismaili capital of Morocco. In Meknes, you will see the famous Bab Mansour, the Sahrij Souani Bassin, and the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. After lunch, we will continue to Volubilis, the well­preserved Roman ruins dating site to 25bC.

Then we will continue to Fez via the foothills of the Rif mountains and we will arrive Fes in the afternoon. Overnight in our Hotel / Riad

Day 3: Fes – Fes

After breakfast at the Riad, you will start to explore the oldest city in Morocco sailing through its narrow streets and alleys. Our tour begins visiting the door of the Royal Palace, the Jewish headquarter and the first-ever Mellah built in Morocco. We will make sure to visit all sites with historical and cultural attractions, including the famous AlQaraouine University ­ the oldest in the region, tanneries and Attarine Museum.

La Ville nouvelle

After lunch, you will see, the ceramics factory and experience a wonderful panoramic view overthe Medina of Fes. In the afternoon, we visit the new town “La Ville nouvelle” for a drink. Accommodation in riad.

Day 4: Fez – Ifran – Azrou ­ Midelt

After breakfast we will leave Fez and we will travel to a beautiful mountain village Ifrane, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco”. During this trip you will experience glimpses of the Medium Atlas Mountains and high Atlas. Stopping in Azrou ­ a Berber village in the middle of the famous cedar forest (the largest in Morocco), you will have the opportunity to see some apes Barbary.

Then we will travel through Tizi Ntalghamt to Midelt and alongthe gorges Ziz gorgeous carved into volcanic rock. Overnight in our hotel / Riad.

Day 5: Midelt – Errachidia – Merzouga

After breakfast at the hotel you will travel via Errachidia and Erfoud to Merzouga. You can travel via the Ziz gorge, in view of the high plateau Atlas, watching how the scene changes to reveal clues as desert near the city of Errachidia. Here you have to eat and enjoy the Berber hospitality.

Then, you will travel through the lush valley of Ziz, stop for panoramic along the way to Erfoud and Rissani views. Arriving in the afternoon to Merzouga, you will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before checking in to your hotel.

Day 6: Merzouga and Camel trek

After breakfast at the hotel you can explore the area. You will visit the Gnawa people originally slaves brought from Sudan , to experience his music and lifestyle, while not faraway is the lake of Merzouga with its bird populations. You may also want to visit the house where many nomadic Berber wire crafts have a lower price than in big cities. In the afternoon it’s time for camel ride, guided by an experienced camel man where you will explore Merzouga sand sea. Dinner is in front of the store where you spend the night camp.

Day 7: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges ­ Merzouga

You will wake up early in the morning to see what may be the best sunrise of your life after which you can camel­ trek back to the village of Merzouga, admiring the unique beauty of the spectacular dunes of Erg Chebbi ­ changing light as the day progresses.

After breakfast at the Riad, you will stop in Rissani, Tinghir and Todra gorges ­ the taller, narrow gorges in Morocco. Lunch at the heart of the gorge above a walk through the valley of Dades, where you will see the majestic sand castles and amazing rock formations known as “monkey fingers” . Overnight in our hotel / Riad.

Day 8: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate

After breakfast at the hotel we will drive through the Dades Valley through M’gouna Kalaaand Ouarzazate. The route through the valley of Dades is the way of the Thousand Kasbahs ­ offers numerous opportunities to take some of their best photo shots of the trip.We will stop at Kalaa Mgouna, “the pink city” to buy rose water, which will make your linen smell after your trip. Continuing towards Skoura and the valley of dirds Ameridil we will visit the Kasbah, a kasbah preserved in this area. After a few trips in the valley, we will lunch at a restaurant overlooking the valley.

Ouarzazate

The tour continues to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa”, whose geography and beautiful scenery has attracted many film producers world-class. Here you can visit the studios, containing objects used in movies you may have already seen, like Mummy, Gladiator, and The Last Temptation of Christ. It will be accommodation in a local Riad.

Day 9: Ouarzazate – Taroudant

After breakfast, we will go to Taroudant via Taznakht, stopping to visit Taliouine cooperative of Safran. If your visit coincides with the harvest of Safran, you will have the opportunity to meet Berber women and their families in their fields with Safran harvest.We will arrive in the afternoon to Taroudant, where you will see the walls and walk in the narrow streets of the Medina. Taroudant is often referred to as “Little Marrakech” because most of its walls were built by the Saadi dynasty in the sixteenth century, before they moved to the big “red city”.

Day 10: Taroudant – Essaouira

After breakfast we will go to Essaouira, via Agadir route, where we stop for lunch. Agadir has a beautiful large beach and has been a great tourist destination for many years. We will take a short walk a long the promenade before continuing to Essaouira, the coastal route offers beautiful scenery, an area famous for the argan. Along the way you will see herds of goats climbing argan trees in search of more mature food. It is your accommodation in a riad in the Medina.

Day 11: Essaouira – Essaouira

Breakfast in riad, before a tour of the city. You will visit the fortress of Skala, the port, the market and see Thuya wood carved by craftsmen, wandering the streets of the medina and the hundreds of crafts. Essaouira is known for its strong winds throughout the year and is known as the “Windy City” therefore attracts surfers from around the world. Essaouira knew many civilizations ­ including the Portuguese occupation, which affects much of its architecture ­ however, remains a small town steeped in history. 

Gnawa Music

Because of it´s size and blue features doors and washed walls, is also regarded as “jewel in the Atlantic Moroccan The visit includes the Mellah: the Jewish headquarters, and the beach.There is an annual festival of ” Gnawa Music”where many musical groups come from different parts of Africa and the world. It usually starts in the third week of June, so if your trip coincides with this, you have the option to extend your stay for another day. Today you will have lunch in a Moroccan way, buy fish ‘cooked to order’. The afternoon is free towalk and explore for yourself. It’s a Riad accommodation in Medina.

Day 12: Essaouira – Marrakech

In the early morning we will drive to Marrakech. Along the way you can visit specialized cooperatives of argan oil where it is extracted. On the way we will stop to enjoy the landscape around us and to take pictures. By mid afternoon we will arrive in Marrakech,where you can make contact with this wonderful city by strolling around . We’ll go to riad. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 13: Visit Marrakech

After a big breakfast you will have the opportunity to visit by yourself or if you wish with alocal guide. What to say about this great city, a city full of life. There are large and interesting things to visit such as: Zocos: with narrow streets, full of smells, feelings … market of leather, metal… Jamaa el Fna square: during the day you will find positions juices, nuts …

and at night is filled with food stalls where you can enjoy typical Moroccan food Koutoubia Mosque: This is the most important mosque in this city but access is not allowed for non­ practitioners of Islam. Bahia Palace: The palace building and this was done in over a decade, and its interior is full of rooms decorated majestically. A must see. These and many other things to visit in Marrakech. Dinner and sleep in the place of accommodation.

Day 14: Excursion to High Atlas mountains from Marrakech

The next morning, after breakfast, we will go to Asni and Imlil passing through the gorges of Moulay Brahim. These villages are located in the middle between the High Atlas Mountains. We can enjoy the wonderful views offered by this environment. We can see the mountain Toubkal and appreciate its magnitude. By mid­afternoon we will return to Marrakech.

Day 15: Marrakech – transfer to airport

In this day depending on the time of departure, we will transfer you to the airport, where we will accompany you to make the check in. This will be the end of our services.

Our driver, Ali, came to our hotel in Marrakech to pick us up. After that we drove through Atlas to Ait Ben Haddou then Dades gorges. Next day, we visited Toudra gorges and Merzouga, where we enjoyed an marvelous sunshine on the top of a dune and a camel trek.
